Mary Elaine is the co-founder and Chief Vision Officer of VAUSA. VAUSA provides their clients with more time to focus on their people, purpose, and passions by matching them with talented, and trustworthy US-based virtual assistants. As an active duty Army military spouse, she desired a job that would allow her to have time freedom, and flexibility to adapt to her demanding military lifestyle while staying present for her young children. In 2017 she left her previous career as an educator to become a virtual assistant. She soon realized that this impactful opportunity needed to be shared more widely with fellow military spouses. She also saw the need from her entrepreneur clients for high-quality values-driven talent and soft skills that most military spouses possess. The idea of creating a bridge to connect and educate the two parties so they can both achieve time freedom to focus on their people, purpose, and passions, was ignited. Since 2018 VAUSA has created hundreds of jobs for military individuals, and a meaningful culture grounded in their faith-based values of authentic connection, selfless service, and intentional growth. Mary Elaine is passionate about using business as a way to make a lasting impact on people's lives through sharing her story and experiences with others who desire to do the same. She currently resides just outside of Savannah, GA with her husband and two children.
