There are more than 600,000 spouses of active duty service members and with frequent moves, service member deployments and a lack of portable careers, many spouses struggle to focus on their own career development.
According to a recent Chamber of Commerce Foundation study, 70% of military spouses do not believe their education or work experience is being fully utilized in their current job.
ACP is here to assist.
About
ACP hand-selects a Mentor for each spouse Protégé for year-long, customized, one-on-one mentorship. Mentors and Protégés connect at least once a month for up to a year.
Whether you are considering a new career, starting a small business or have recently moved locations, ACP has Mentors offering their assistance. Our Mentors are volunteers with years of experience and can help with:

Military Spouse Advocacy Network
Purpose
Military Spouse Advocacy Network (MSAN) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization with a mission to create stronger military families through education, empowerment, and support.
MSAN’s Military Spouse Mentorship-HUB helps to bridge military families from every branch of the armed forces and their surrounding communities in locations around the world through a Virtual Education and Resource Center, New Military Spouse Support Program, and Leadership Development Program.
MSAN’s collaborations with official military installations, Department of Defense (DoD) resources, and trusted partner organizations provide a structured and personal approach through a one-of-a-kind peer-to-peer mentorship experience, building long-term connections to local and national resources expanding the military family sense of community. MSAN strives to improve morale and military retention, increased utilization of resources, and an ongoing investment in the communities that our leaders serve.

Veteran Business Project
Purpose
The Veteran Business Project promotes military, veterans, and spouses small business ownership opportunities. We do this by proudly offering our unique “vharmony™️” business match-making service, connecting veterans/spouses seeking to acquire established businesses with business owners wanting to divest. Our “vharmony™️” service includes a caseworker to facilitate the often challenging road to purchase, as well as a seasoned business mentor after the completed transaction.
Mission
The Veteran Business Project promotes veteran small business ownership opportunities by getting military, veterans, and spouses into business. We educate active duty military, veterans, business owners, financial institutions, public and private sectors, the general public, and legislators on the necessity for pro-veteran small business ownership and accompanying, realistic federal and state business lending programs. Veteran Business Project then connects these groups to facilitate veterans’ small business ownership.
