The Village of Sacred Melanin pioneers a comprehensive and cultural approach to birth work, education, and yoga that venerates Ancestral and traditional wisdom while weaving green living into the essence of our close-knit village. We are a wombman-led organization sewn by our rich culture of Afro-Indigenous roots. Still, our village is a patchwork of unified military families who we are honored to support. Our mission is to help our Military village harmonize their well being by seamlessly interweaving the tapestry of birth justice, maternal mental health, and wellness. We conceive of birthing an ecosystem that nourishes the wholistic well being of Military families throughout every stage of their reproductive journey, no matter where they are around the globe. While Military families are frequently excluded from reproductive justice conversations, Sátin Marché, founder of The Village of Sacred Melanin, continues to challenge the conversation frameworks by advocating for justice on behalf of her Military village.
