As a Military Spouse
Margie met her husband in Italy where she was stationed. She got out because she wanted to be home for her children — when her family was able to have them. Margie’s family enjoyed the ability to travel all over the world with the military and meet some fabulous friends. What she learned the most from being stationed in Europe and Hawaii was to embrace the people and surroundings, there was no way to have a negative experience if she did that!
The hardest part of life as a military spouse was the deployments with little children and feeling embarrassed to ask for help and so she stayed home and felt very lonely. A friend offered to watch her children so Margie could go to the grocery store and that opened her world to getting a break, finding her own identity again, and mostly, helping others.
The Beginning of Margie’s Wellness Journey
Margie’s “wellness” journey began at a young age when her aunt introduced her to supplements and alkaline water “disease can’t live in an alkaline state”. Now as a mom after a few near death situations with some “professionals”, she learned that no one will take care of her health or her children’s like her. Margie is not a vegan, but tries to eat a balanced diet and exercise. She does her research, asks A LOT of questions and tries to be an advocate for wellness to those around her.
